I built this site because, when people hear that I am retired, they think that I am, well, retired. True, I was a Professor at Stanford, Yale, and Northwestern for 35 years or so. (I started young.) I retired from that life in order to live in a more peaceful environment, to think, and to see what I could do about changing the world of education. I am disgusted by the education system in this country. (No, it isn't any better in any other country either.) I worry about a world where originality and creativity seem almost to be suppressed by the educational system rather than be encouraged by it. I have thought about thinking, learning, memory, intelligent systems, and creativity all my life. Now I want to do something about it. To learn more about me you can view my bio on Wikipedia, see my bio on a hyperbook I coauthored Engines for Education, or take a look at my bio on The World Technology Network. You could also read something. What? Try Dynamic Memory, a book I wrote almost 30 years ago that talks about human intelligence and how to get a computer to be smart. Or you could read Dynamic Memory Revisited, which is the same book, looked at from the perspective of making people more intelligent. I am still interested in making machines intelligent, but if people get less intelligent at the same time, it wouldn't be such a good thing.

Projects I am currently involved with.
- Breaking News
For my latest developments
- Learning Games
This is my attempt to communicate in a real way with these new little people that my children keep creating. Now other people can talk to their little ones too. Education done right.
- Revolutionizing the Education System
If kids have to go to school, a really horrible idea as any movie maker can tell you, then maybe we could make school less horrible? (just a thought)
- Changing the world of Intelligent Enterprise Software
Boy is business screwed up when it comes to computers. There are one or two big players and they certainly don't care about making a user's life easier. Why is that?
- Helping Corporations do Training better
Companies say they want to train their employees better, but they always leave out the end of the sentence that tells you what they are really thinking (without spending too much money).
- Helping Corporations Innovate better
Companies say they want to innovate better too. What they mean is that they want to hire innovation experts who will help bring out the innovator in everyone, so they can feel good about themselves. If they wanted to innovate they would hire those unruly and annoying people who actually have something unusual to say.
- Advice Column
Ask me your question about how to take care of your or your child's educational needs in today's terrible education system.
- Being a TV star
All right, so I was never a star. But I have been on TV a lot, and now that we have YouTube, you can see some of it.
- Speaking Engagements
I am very good at this, which is ironic because I really think lecturing is an ancient art and that universities need to do away with it (which they won't because it brings in way too much money. Do the math: 1 teacher 500 students, good for the university, bad for students).
- Corporate Memory Project
People have really good memories, companies dont. Why is that? Hmm... Can this be fixed? Yessiree (costs money though)
- Books and other Writings
I have written a lot of books. My next one will knock the socks off a few people (if they let me publish it!)
- Personal
I know I seem larger than life. Ok, maybe the same size as life. But I actually have a life so, now you know.
